SEA PATNERSHIP PROGRAMME

This program is partnership programme between DKP, NGO, private and other institutions to encourage the acceleration of Marine and Fisheries Development.
PMB expected as the main vehicle for partnership among stakeholders to accelerate the development of marine and fisheries in the coastal region and small islands as optimal and sustainable in order to improve the welfare of society.


MISSION

  • Develop strong partnerships between development actors and marine fisheries to support the optimization and management of marine fishery resources in coastal regions and small islands in an integrated manner in order to increase public welfare and environmental quality; increase the capacity of stakeholders in the field of coastal resource management and small islands in an integrated manner, based on science and technology; Conducting outreach / counseling, education / training, applied research and policy analysis in marine and fisheries sector.
  • Overcoming the weakness of human resources and institutional capacity in management areas and marine resources, coastal and small islands; encourage acceleration and optimization of operations and development in coastal regions and small islands; harmonizing technocrat-bureaucrat relationship; assign or transfer of knowledge and technology into society, so as to manage resources in coastal areas and small islands became prime mover of the Indonesian economy is integrated and sustainable.
         

Sea Partnership Programme launched in 2003 and implemented in 5 regions (regional centers), in 2004 it was increased in 11 regions), and in 2005 the program grew 19 regions, and in 2006 added another 26 regions.
